Matthias House offers a variety of different rooms and facilities. The home has 33 single rooms, some including a private wet room and many with en-suite facilities. Each room is tastefully furnished and decorated. Rooms in the original old building retain much of the original Victorian character and features of the house. Each bedroom is equipped with a television point and a nurse call system. Therefore, residents are never far away from help or room service.

Catering

At Matthias House we serve a varied menu with high quality nutritional meals and special attention to our residents’ dietary needs. We serve excellent traditional home cooking and our cooks prepare many regional dishes to cater for the taste of our residents. Any dietary requirements or preferences you might have, will be gladly met by our two cooks and two assistant cooks. Currently our residents very much enjoy traditional black country foods.

Medical Services & Chiropody

We work with a local GPs in the area and are very well supported by the District Nurses. Where possible we support our residents to keep their own GP to ensure continuity in their health care. Annual check-ups with the dentist are arranged for all our residents. Our chiropodist visits the home on a regular basis every eight weeks and can be booked by all residents.

Hairdressing

Our hairdresser visits our home every Monday and we offer Hair & Manicure sessions every Monday to all our residents. We feature a professional styling chair from a Hair Salon in the home, which offers a comfortable option for sitting down and shampooing and washing your hair like in a Salon.
