Matthias House Care Home has been caring for the elderly for thirty years and provides long term residential care for adults of 65 years with and without dementia and short-term respite care. Matthias House was originally the Vicarage to St Matthews Church Tipton and has been remodelled and extended to be a comfortable home for ladies and gentlemen with 33 single rooms, many with en-suite facilities. Adjacent to the parish church of St Matthews, Matthias House lies near to the established areas of Dudley, Tipton and Sedgley.

The home has three lounge areas, one lounge with double doors leading to a pleasant garden with a large patio area to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine or catch some fresh air. Our garden is also host to many of our activities and parties in the warmer season.

We are committed to provide the highest quality in accommodation and personal care by promoting and maintaining independence and well-being. This has been achieved by building a fantastic team with our long serving manager Beverley Elwell, our deputy manager Megan Elwell and loyal dedicated team of carers, care assistants, cooks, and domestic staff. Everyone working at Matthias House has been handpicked, carefully screened with extensive referencing and checks, and receives ongoing professional training.

All members in our team have been appointed because they are genuinely devoted to the caring profession and appreciative of the needs of the elderly. Our common goal is to create a homely and caring environment for the benefit of each individual resident. We take great care to gently assess the needs of every new residents by getting to know them and counselling with their relatives and friends to ensure that the needs of their loved ones are met. Within the first week of their stay at Matthias House the team develops a personalised care plan together with the resident, their family, and the help of all professionals at Matthias House. All care plans are reviewed at least monthly and adapted to ensure that they are always perfectly shaped around each individual we look after.
